MSI has recently got the Ampere miner cards registered with the Eurasian Economic Commission. It is believed that after this registration, it will become really hard for the customers to buy RTX 3060, RTX 3070, and RTX 3080 cards. This is not the first time MSI has registered its cards. It had got the Turing Mining cards registered with the EEC previously. Moreover, as Ethereum price is getting higher, it has been seen that GPU miners prices are also getting higher. MSI Currently Registered for RTX 3060 Ti Only The recent surge in Ethereum price is indicating that the manufacturers need to make sufficient amounts of machines now. MSI has recently got the registration for the RTX 3060 Ti only, but it might register others as well in the future. When it comes to the mining cards, AMD GPU seems to be the top choice of the miners. However, people have also started moving towards Nvidia as it is providing a better hash rate. As per the claims, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 is having a greater hash rate as compared to the RTX 2080. Meanwhile, the mining performance of RDNA2 is slightly higher than what RDNA1 offers. Ampere Miner Cards Are Highly Power-Efficient MSI Ampere cards are highly power-efficient as compared to the previous ones. According to the firm, the RTX 3060 Ti uses 50W less power than what 2080 Ti uses, however, both of them deliver the same hash rates. Focusing on power-efficient solutions is highly necessary for the miners because higher power consumption will ultimately decrease their profits to a great extent. It is still not clear whether MSI’s Ampere mining cards will come into the market or not. It is not always necessary that if the product is being registered it will come to the market. However, it is believed that if these mining cards come into the market, they are bound to face shortages.
