Polkadot has become the latest cryptocurrency that will be supported by the crypto payment financial institution, Simplex. Polkadot’s native token, DOT is a multi-chain network that connects multiple blockchains into a single network. DOT can now be purchased using credit and debit cards. This breakthrough comes with the assistance of a new partnership with crypto payment gateway, Simplex. Polkadot’s Latest Supporter Simplex, is a licensed financial institution. It empowers its vast network of partners to accept the widest range of payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, SWIFT, SEPA, etc. It delivers fiat on-ramp infrastructure for several cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, and brokers. The agreement between DOT and Simplex will allow DOT holders to conduct and settle crypto transactions effortlessly. Polkadot’s user base will be benefitted from Simplex’s fiat credit and debit purchase options. The infrastructure provides the necessary support and prepares DOT holders for the upcoming launch of its new enterprise-grade blockchain solution. The enthusiasm around Polkadot’s token is perceivable in the crypto sphere over the past few months. The protocol hit an all-time peak earlier in February this year, ahead of its upcoming auctions. The current price of the token is $39.7170. This will allow its network to connect with other established blockchains. Unlike networks of the two major cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum, which operate by themselves, Polkadot aims to act as a framework for all blockchains that opt-in. Simplex Support to Fiat Currencies Simplex is already in partnerships with leading crypto exchanges, including Binance and Huobi, to enable users to buy cryptocurrencies with their credit cards. According to the company, “Simplex supports hundreds of fiat currencies and enables the purchase of over 50 cryptocurrencies through its network of partners. Adding Polkadot (DOT) to the list of supported assets brings the world one step closer to mass cryptocurrency acquisition and adoption.” Simplex often charges 3.5 percent of a transaction. It imposes multiple restrictions as well. For example, it is mandatory to include a $20,000 maximum in the daily transaction limit if the user uses a credit or debit card.
