In accordance with the recently published World’s Wealthiest Annual Ranking list by Forbes, there are 12 crypto billionaires in the world. These 12 billionaires function directly with the crypto industry and the list of billionaires from that industry is three times bigger than last year. World’s Wealthiest Annual Ranking Lists 12 Crypto Billionaires The American Business Magazine Forbes has been publishing a list for the public to view of the world’s wealthiest billionaires since March 1987. Back in the year 1987, the richest person was Yoshiaki Tsutsumi with an estimated wealth of approximately $20 billion. Mentioning the 12 crypto billionaires, Forbes revealed that these are people who either operate with digital currency exchanges or are heavy investors. Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of FTX Exchange is the richest crypto billionaire worth $8.7 billion. He is followed by the CEO of Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, whose net worth is $6.5 billion. The next two people on the list are the founders of the Gemini Exchange, the Winklevoss Twins, and their net worth is around $6 billion. Chris Larsen, the co-founder of Ripple Labs is the fourth person on the list with a net worth of around $3.5 billion. He is followed by Michael Saylor, the CEO of Microstrategy, who is worth around $2.3 billion. Jed McCaleb was another co-founder of Ripple and is estimated to be worth around $2 billion. Forbes has also added the co-founder of Coinbase, Fred Ersham who has around $1.9 billion, and along with him, ChangPeng Zhao, CZ, from Binance has the same value. Adding further to the list, the last three people are Barry Silbert from Digital Currency Group, Matthew Roszak from Bloq, and venture capitalist Tim Draper. They are worth $1.6 billion, $1.5 billion, and $1 billion respectively. How Things Are Going to be Next Year? It is going to be interesting to witness how things will look in the 2022 list which will be written and published by Forbes particularly for the number of crypto people listed in the published list. However, there are high chances that the list of crypto billionaires will be a big one, seeing the trend and popularity of cryptocurrencies, startups based on crypto, and an increasing number of investors.
