Israeli Parliament Receives Declaration to the Elected President as NFT

Israeli President NFT

In the run-up to the new Israeli President, Herzog has received the declaration with a duplicate of the original oath signed by his late father, Chaim Herzog, as an NFT. Israeli President Receives NFT of an Oath “I am the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Halevi and Rebbetzin Sarah Herzog, and I swear to preserve devotion to the State of Israel and its laws, as well as to honorably execute my position as President,” says the NFT oath. The paper, dated May 5, 1983, is a carbon copy of the oath that his son is supposed to read from the platform during the Knesset plenum. The concept came about when people in Parliament felt it would be a fantastic way to connect the past with the present, and thus they would be the first worldwide Parliament to lend the elected president the text of the proclamation in NFT form. Israel’s Parliament Becomes The First To Lend The Declaration as Non-Fungible Token The initiative was directed by Knesset Director-General Gil Segal and members of the Technology and Computing Division.  Crew members created the one-of-a-kind picture file with safe and encrypted equipment, which will be handed to Herzog following his inauguration. The NFT will eventually be loaned to competent computer department staff members at the President’s official home. Following the discovery, the next Israeli head of state wanted the oath to be immortalized, and Knesset’s Technology and Computing Division employed blockchain and NFT services. Non-fungible tokens have exploded in popularity in recent months, with celebrities from all walks of life racing to establish their own to increase fan interaction. The process took only a week to complete once the original oath was located deep within the Knesset Archives. The staffers who discovered the oath were so touched by it they proposed giving the incoming president a one-of-a-kind copy of it as an inaugural present.  While the NFT was created for a few dollars, it has the potential to rise enormously in value.
